Vietnam’s Law on Cybersecurity No. 116\/2025\/QH15 \u2014 passed December 10, 2025 and entering into force on July 1, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 establishes binding obligations for information system operators across energy, finance, banking, telecommunications, transport, and government. Under this law, systems classified as important to national security must undergo cybersecurity appraisal and certification before and throughout operation. The law mandates cipher and civil cryptography as a core data security requirement.
